Name of Project: Replacement of Bridge No. 1006200 on MD 140 over Flat Run 

 

Client: Maryland State Highway Administration

 

Location: Emittsburg, MD

 

Project Details & Key Challenges: 

• Project includes removal of existing bridge, construction of the new bridge, construction of sidewalks and storm water management facilities. 

• Challenges include working around overhead power lines to construct the pedestrian bridge and constructing half the bridge at the time while the other half is under vehicular traffic.
