REPLACEMENT OF DUAL BRIDGES ON I-95/I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY) OVER SUITLAND PARKWAY

Project Details & Key Challenges: 

• The project includes demolition of two bridges, 12,000 feet of storm drain, 29,000 cubic yards excavation, 4,500 feet of erosion and sediment control, bio-retention facilities, 29,000 feet of production pile, extensive support-of-excavation system to support interstate highway during construction, construction of dual bridges with eight lanes of traffic, 29,000 tons of asphalt paving, 13,000 feet of guardrail, street lighting, and landscaping.
